Eligibility
Al Gharbia Photography & Video Contest is open to all (whether amateur or professional).
Entrants undertake to grant the WRDC the license to use and exhibit their work at all its venues or during its events or programs within the UAE and throughout the world.
Entrants give WRDC permission to reproduce or even license the reproduction of photographs in all media means within UAE and worldwide including publication on the internet.
· The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers in the UAE and abroad
· The photographs have to be shot by the competitor himself.
· The photographs should be recent and not been submitted for any other competition.
· The photographs should be presented digitally on CD or DVD in TIFF or JPG format. Printed photographs or photographs that are sent by email will not be accepted.
· Photograph resolution should not be less than 300 dpi.
· Each participant can submit a maximum of 10 photographs for all categories.
· Photographs can be in color, black and white or monochrome.
· Photographer undertakes that all the images are captured in the western region of
· Photographs with photographer’s name or signature or photographs with date will not be accepted.
· Photographs taken by mobile camera will not be accepted.
· The organizers are not responsible for any delay or damage of the submitted work that is sent by mail.
· The jury is entitled to reject any work that does not suit the theme of the competition or the competition’s objectives.
· The jury’s decision is final and not subject to revision.
· The work and application form should be submitted to one of the Western Region Development Council offices in Abu Dhabi or Madinat Zayed in the western region, or mailed to the following address:
Video Competition Terms & Conditions
· The video has to be filmed by the competitor himself.
· The film should not exceed 5 min.
· The scenes have to be captured in the Al Gharbia Watersports Festival 2010.
· Only video camera films are accepted. Mobile camera films will not be accepted.
· Scenes taken from old films will not be accepted.
· The competition application form has to be filled.
· Competition’s Deadline is 31st May 2010
