The Court of The Crown Prince (CPC) is an independent entity created to support His Highness in carrying out his public and private duties.

The Ruler's Representative Court of the Western Region was established by Emiri Decree No. (2) of 1977 and was reorganised in 2006. On June 2009 HH President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, issued a decree appointing HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region.

Western Region Municipality is an independent governmental department.
